The Guest House was built for family use in 2005. Owing to changed circumstances it was made available for B&B in 2011. Since then it has become a real favourite with guests returning year on year to celebrate signal birthdays, anniversaries and simply for what one describes as being "our Bagendon fix". Cosy in winter and light and airy in summer, it is valued for being peaceful, restorative and very comfortable. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the 2 acre garden that has been planted for scent with many old fashioned roses, lavender, honesuckle and mock orange.
Situated on the middle terrace of of Manor Cottage's garden, it is self-contained and although full B&B is provided it is well equipped for limited self-catering. The 30ft sitting room is fully glazed on two sides with double French windows leading to south facing terraces with wonderful
uninterupted views over farmland, the valley and beyond.
SKY TV; WIFI; IPOD docks etcetera.
Upstairs there is a 40ft bedroom with King Size bed
and windows facing east, south and west. Well
behaved dogs are welcomed free of charge. The 40ft
swimming pool is heated April - October.
Bagendon is in one of the 'lost valleys' of the
Cotswolds and yet only 4 miles from Cirencester.
It has been continuously inhabited for over 2,000 years
and is designated a Conservation Area in the Cotswolds
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
