The Guest House

CHARGES The mid-week charge (Mon-Thur) for up to two people including full B&B is £130 per night. Weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) and Bank Holidays is £150 per night.

Multiple consecutive nights are discounted: 2 or more nights less 5%.
A long weekend (3 nights) is £425. Bank Holiday weekends (4 nights) is £540. The charge for 7 nights is £875. Longer stays - please ask.

DEPOSIT All confirmed bookings are subject to a deposit. For bookings made under four months prior to arrival the deposit is 50% of the estimated charge exclusive of any meals additional to breakfast. Bookings made over four months in advance are subject to a deposit of 25%.

AVAILABILITY Enquiries seem to come in waves and the status quo of availability can change very quickly. Once a Booking Form has been requested the Guest House will be reserved for an agreed time, pending the return of the Booking Form and payment of the appropriate deposit that may be made by bankers draft or cheque. Once received the booking will be acknowledged and confirmed.

CANCELLATION in the event of guests having to cancel their booking Sue will make every effort to re-let. If she is successful the deposit less a 10% handling charge will be refunded. If she is unable to re-let the deposit will be non-refundable. Guests are strongly advised to make sure that they have adequate insurance. 

THE FINAL BALANCE is payable on the morning of departure and includes the pre-agreed charge for any meals additional to breakfast and any pre-ordered shopping.

CHILDREN Owing to the sharp drops from the terraces and deep unfenced water the Guest House is NOT suitable for children.

DOGS There is no extra charge for civilised dogs that are welcome at the Guest House. However the valley is full of breeding ewes and their lambs so dogs must be absolutely sheep-proof.   Any damage will be charged at cost and dogs must be pre-booked, please.

SAFETY  Guests are asked to read The Folder that contains instructions in case of Fire, Accident or Illness, as soon as is practicable after their arrival. This is for guests' own safety and convenience.
 
SMOKING  Guests are asked not to smoke inside any of the buildings. Those who need a nicotine fix are asked to smoke outside and to dispose of the butts safely. Garden ashtrays are provided if needed.
 
PARKING There is ample, private, gated parking. No liability can be accepted for any damage to any vehicle howsoever caused. Bicycles may be locked up.
 
VALUABLES There is no safe at the Guest House or at Manor Cottage. Guests are responsible for their own valuables.
